Been reading over at FAF that there is possibly going to be a big news announcement from Ford Australia in a couple of weeks.
July the 11th is being mentioned as a possible date, can anyone here shed some light on this? Could it be some thing to do with the following? * BF2 Cobra? * Orion? * Export deal for the Orion? * New Mondeo details? * BF3? * Stripes? |

Orion would be too early i would have thought, BFII Cobra also too early?
What are the chances of BFIII with Orion upgrades? |

The optimist in me is thinking " There was that yank guy out here in the last few weeks, who's got something to do with product/export viability ".
The pessimist in me is thinking " It's just going to be the same old 'new stripes and different badge' product mentality ". Point in case, Anniversary GT. |

I'm tipping either:
1. Probably FPV Cobra limited edition (White with Blue Stripes etc) OR 2. Ford Australia to announce a third car line to be built in Oz (Focus or perhaps Mondeo ?). |

here's hoping they bring in the mustang GT from the states, with a realistic price of less than 40k

Agree it will be one of those. Seeings dealers are already taking orders for a plastic tart rip off of a XC Cobra...

That kid sat in the back and measures the space between himself and his siblings, and was satisfied, stating that Ford Falcon has enough room for everybody in the family. We had the XF station wagon (The Tractor) back then and it provided enough space for all of us. Pity I had to have that stupid safety harness as the lap-sash belts were not standard then. Ahhh, memories. Actually, of recent I've had a yearning to find out what happened to The Tractor. Sold it to some lady for 2.65k back in 2000. Would love to get it back and fix it up, when I get money. Good car, the old XF wagon. But in terms of announcements, without knowing nothing, I'll baulk. |

Cobra Falcon with some stripes & a few Kw's isn't ground-breaking IMO. A big export annoucement, or a new car to be built in Australia is 'Big News' The other things posted here are not really exciting. I guess if it's the Cobra Falcon (unless it's VERY special) that's not really big news. |
