Default Fast and Furious 3

Here's some pics of the 67 mustang supposed to be starring in the upcoming fast and furious 3... don't know how true it is, i thought they hadn't commenced filming yet.

Note the RB26, Volk wheels, and cannon tip amongst other things....

Every time you mention a Windsor based stroker it gets bigger and bigger....

While that is kinda cool in a wierd sorta way, a F6 motor woulda been nicer :P

But with twin turbos, you don't need the extra cubes. Marty White's car has over 800hp from sub 7l.. (408 stroker?)

Need? Bah! For 800hp you don't really need 7 litres... but hey, come on... where's the fun? 470 ci... mmmmm.

Plus imagine the power a 470 TT could make... *sits down to day dream about 2500hp TT 470W's*

Its painful to think that all these young teens wil think that that car is good to do to a stang.. This movie will brain wash many a mind about the true meaning of a MUSCLE CAR...

Alright calm down ladies, the engine atleast is still impressive.
Nobody seemed to mind when Holden used a skyline engine in the VL's and blew away the competition.

Yeah but a VL isnt a muscle car like the Mussie is it?

Thats just wrong putting a RB into a Mustang, fair enouigh they are a great engine but seriously jap performance in a American legend= Big No Noes.

Ummm taken on different days , or different cars ! Any movie has a number of cars that all look the same for filming purposes ! Probly only one with the shytebox motor in it all the others will have the correct motor as ya dont see it during a car chase!

HAHAHAHAHA , unless they show you the welds in th manifold straining when they hit the 10 000 hp nitous button !!!!!!!!!!!! :hihi:

very good point there Holden claim as they own well that what most of them are doing, but when there a switch between the car then people whingy

Just a note this movie isnt about how fast you go straight like the previous movie its about how to take corners. I to was shock when i saw the nissan going to the mustang i felt sorry for both cars. Both the cars were use in the wrong way. The slivia should stay in its home and the Mustang all i could say "what the hell was it doing in japan??" it shouldnt be there since the actual japan cars put more horsepower than the oversea verisions

Feel so sorry for the sliverlady and mustang which was in the movie

I'd heard it was a GT-R engine in a 60's Muzzy, so I heard fairly well.
Apparently there's gunna be a Veilside RX7 too.
I don't quite get the engine swap though. She's probably not that nimble a beast.

gee & those photo's don't look chopped now DO they????
That 3rd shot looks like the engine almost lines up with where the rear left wheel should be.
Notice also how the bonnet is absent in the 1st pic, yet it's there in the others..

In the background of the first pic you can see 3 identical black/gold cars, looks right for a F&F movie.

I think if they wanted to make an impression with that Mustang, they should have used a Typhoon engine rather than just another GTR engine, it would even sound cool naming it in the movie and they could also make a deal about it being 4L not 2.6L etc... Mind you it would cost more than a heap of Jap import rubbish.

So is that why a standard jap ''rubbish'' GTR will run the quater mile faster than a fairly modified xr6t,xr8,F6, GT and GTP??

RIIIIGHT, nissan is anything but rubbish, in my opinion australian manufacturers could learn alot from the japanese.

For example, actually build the car properly so that it doesnt fall apart like a falcon or commonwhore...Yet Dont make the car as heavy as a Rhino.

Make sure the diffs and gearboxes arnt constantly shi7ting themselves..

Learn that a Special performance car should do 0-100 in less than 6 seconds.
This comes down to how the car uses the power, aussie manufacturers arnt too good at this.

Reason i say they probably used the RB26DETT or in this case converted to single turbo is because they know what they are dealing with and there is a massive aftermarket parts scene for them, the RB and SR series engines are two of some of the most impressive series of engines ever and i dont think we should rubbish them :P

man youir living in the past, nissan dont make RB and SR engines anymore, they havent for quiet a few years now. xr6t,xr8,F6, GT and GTP that you have mentioned kill anything that nissan has to offer now and pass all the emmion laws.Nissan dont make performance cars anymore as the motors are too rubbish to meet the the emession laws, the fastest thing they have is the 350z!
fast japanesew cars are over, and have been over for about 5 years now, the only ones that have survived are the WRX and EVO. do some research, before talking about 10-15 year old cars that have no relevence to today.
