Mate performance wise the EVO wins hands down.

I own a WRX though because EVOs are butt ugly. They are more easier to live with daily too.

Plus scream like a ***** on heat with an exhaust.

Assuming your meaning the WRX STi, the WRX is not an EVO rival. EVO's are a bit quicker, but the Scoob looks better (imo) and sounds glorious with an exhaust job.

The only EVO I'd have over the comparable Scoob would be the EVO 6 or TME as the Bugeye was horrid.

i happen to own an evo8 so i`m going to voe for the evo anyway but the later wrx`s are better than the earlier models with a stronger gearbox than before but still have a fairly big lag hole you don`t get in the evo
the evo`s turbo is better matched to the engine to almost make lag a unknown thing

EVOs have anti-lag though too don't they?

EJ20/25 and 4G63 are up there with the RB engines if you ask me too.

Here is my baby. You don't have many chances to show it off in a Ford Forum

BTW dude EVO vs WRX is like saying Ford vs FPV. Should be EVO vs STi ;)

Yeah people are starting to pull impressive power out of the piggys now and getting them to fly. Many are doing the EJ25 conversion in their older cars.

AFAIK the Japs are still using the EJ20 twin scroll turbo setup.

If I blow an engine I think there is a US EJ257 short block with my name on it. But I don't want to blow an engine cause I've got no money :

I think they are in the process of working on a turbo diesel boxer. Now that would rock!

I'm just hoping that the WRX/STi come out on top come the next model.

There are rumours the WRX is getting dropped :(

They sell a lot of STi's and I know a lot of people often say why not fork out for the STi.

This could be a good thing if assuming most of the population that buys a WRX can afford an STi but they don't, and bad if it's the complete opposite.

Basically no in the middle between Impreza and STi.

don`t get me wrong mitchay i like both the wrx and evo but i do agree that both engines are up there with the rb`s for the power you can extract from them
one advantage the 4g63 has is it has forged internals which you don`t get with the wrx from the factory

If you had an unlimited budget then yes they will catch the rb's...

As for the choice, Can i choose both!!! Love the sound and interior of a suubie and the looks and performance of an EVO... I call it a Subaru EVO

But if i could only chose one then it would be the EVO

I voted Evo, partly because it's not a WRX - and partly because they are less common than the STis.
