a few posts in the past with same issues. Clean your throttle body, map or maf sensor (can't remember which is which) and reset the ecu.

I'm guessing I6.. which means you cant "clean" the MAP sensor.
Sounds like a dodgy lead to me.

Reason 1 - Has your battery been off lately, if so reset ECU
Reason 2 - More expensive, bad batch of fuel - new fuel filter, clean injectors |

Nah dude there has been a heap of threads on this problem, one started by me!
go through everything usual, clean the ISC, throttle body, check plugs and leads, fart three times then take it to a mechanic and get them to fix it.

yeah nah i was just pointing out the amount of times this problem has been written about and everytime someone suggests a fix it hasen't worked. it's cool that everyone makes the suggestions but from my experience with this problem in my Forte, none of these are a cure.

Thanks guys, but as "standardau" said none of these have been a cure, check/did all of these things before I posted the question. Bad leads they normally cause the car to lose power when taking off hard don’t they? it seems the car hasn’t lost any power at all, i took notice of my fuel gauge to this time and it seems the almost stalling feeling happens worst when she is getting down past the last quarter, which has lead me to think it may have something to do with fuel.?.? If I got a bad batch of fuel with water in it how would that affect the car in the way of running? Looks like I might have to do a trip to see the enlightened about my problem......

From personal experience - must have been near bottom of bowser tank - injectors full of what looked like rust particles - filter was brown sludge - went from 900k a tank to 550k at best

Sometimes it can be a combo of problems mine recently was leads, plugs and most importantly the base idle was out.
