Default Whats My Car

Hey,
Well i was looking at the compliance plate in my ute yesterday with a mate, but instead of having only one i have two.
One says Falcon AU Commercial 1 and the other says Falcon AUII Ute, so i'm confused, it has an AUII interior, it did have a CD/TAPE/RADIO headunit but i changed that soon after purchase. When my local ford mechanic has done anywork on it they have had all sorts of problems with parts auI and auII

What year is it? It could be an AU1 upgrade if it's early 2000, which may explain the mix of parts.

that along with s1 bonnet/bar set up.....why couldnt ford change the bonnet from s1 when they brought the s2 and 3 out? they did it with the sedans/wagons.

Personally I am not a fan of the AU1 front, however I have seen the odd ute here and there with a series 2 front on, and I actually think the series 1 front suits the shape more!

I don't think Ford planned to lose the AU1 look so quickly, so maybe they had excess fronts to get rid of once they changed to series 2!

That would be because they would have had a heap of AU1 bonnets stamped up and made, so to get rid of them, they kept them on utes and XRs.
