Just got home this morning and noticed afew drops on the ground under the car opened bonnet and the A/C pipes have what looks to be condensation on them. Could the system have a leak?

It's normal for condensation to form on your A/C pipes (mainly along your passneger side gauge section).

Perfectly normal, its one of the reasons home airconditioners have insulated pipes, to stop condensation forming and water dripping off them in your walls and roof.

Totally normal.
At the lights in Summer, you'll see almost every car dripping water! It won't be green, well not unless they have a radiator problem of course! LOL! GK
