Hi Guys
Our 2nd car/run about was hit by a truck recently. The truck's insurance company has asked us to take the car, as well as two accident quotes to their assesment centre. The quotes come to around $1500, which is around the total value of the car itself! Can i speak to the assesor and ask them to give us the cash equal to the quote i.e. $1500 and either write the car off or keep the car themselves (assuming they can wreck it or whole sale it)? Is it reasonable to ask them this question, or are there any implications in asking this question? I was hoping people could give some advice and i would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance. |
