Default Lowered Springs, Stock Shocks

I've been doing a bit of research into lowering my Ghia as it currently sits like there is something wedged firmly up its tailpipe. Also handles like a pig around roundabouts etc. The back is a good 80mm off wheel however the front is only 40 or so.

I have been told that I need shortened shocks however upon browsing the King Springs website (im working on a budget here) it said that the IRS model did NOT need to have shortened shocks.

I was looking at SSL (50-70mm) for the rear and L's (20-40mm) on the front to eventhings out. Any advice would be appreciated
