myTax v2015 - what a @#$%$#! joke

For those of you playing at home pondering what this years tax return can fund, sit down if you are standing as the ATO has lost its poo.

They are bleating on that the way to lodge now is via myTax (accessed via the equally woeful myGov portal). I went to do just that and it's now 2 hours since I first attempted the process. Silly old me was thinking, surely this is an isolated incident, just a busy time of year.

WRONG.

The entire myTax system is in meltdown. So much so, it isn't even accessible from the myGov portal right now. There is no timeframe on when it will be fixed, essentially zero feedback from the ATO.

If some of the claims are correct, the ATO needs to be shot, repeatedly. Who the hell thought it was a good idea to have the system set up to handle just 2500 users? Do these effwits not know how many taxpayers submit returns this time of year????

Oh wait, it gets even better. The ATO in their infinite wisdom are canning the e-tax software which shock-horror-disbelief, actually worked. This year is the last year they will run it. And to top it off, they made a good effort of hiding it.
