My volume up button seems a little "sticky", in that you have to press it harder than usual and in pretty well exactly the right place, or it just won't register.
Anyone know if there's a quick way to clean or fix this, or even how much a new unit would be to pull the old one off and mount a new one with "cleaner", less sticky and fussy buttons?

LOL, by reading this thread you guys must have contracted the virus, I just used mine and it seemed fine again. It has passed from one host to the next!
I don't think its quite worth me spending $75 on just yet, as it seems to have come good again, but if it goes dicky again in future or dies altogether, I'll know where to go!!! Thanks!

all you guys need to do is remove the airbag assembly and it easy to clean the contacts under the key pads. you will need to get your hands on a set of torx bits to remove the bolts (the 2 bolts - 1 either side - are located just behind the steering wheel under a plastic clip on cover - a samll flat blade screw driver will remove the cover)then its a simple case of unpluging the airbag and placing it on cardboard face-up (this is important as static electricity can set it off , and since the force is out of the face of the assembly, if you place it face down, the assembly will fly up into the air and cause more damage) then remove the buttons and clean the contacts with a bit of metho on a cotton bud. then carefully replace everything and your done. BE SURE THE KEY IS IN THE OFF POSITION AT ALL TIMES!!!!
