Mind you those Barina's were built in Spain so anything could be wrong with it,........ I remember reading a review on them when they first came out, I believe the reviewer commented that quality wise they "suffered from the odd Siesta." |

I had the dubious pleasure of owning one of those. The best favour it did me was to covert me to Ford. It was nothing but trouble. It always had trouble starting and NRMA said it was bad design.
You'll have to go to Holden for replacement key. Made in Spain? Take the train!

OK firstly, it is the damn key, I just didn't realise a car with a RRP of ~$14k would have this feature in 1999.
Secondly, it whoops the pants off any small car Ford had at the time, Festiva was it? I give it a royal flogging most times I drive it and it has never had an issue, other than this one and its my fault. Thirdly, no, I dont pay any attention to key-fob advances ![]()

Being a bit of a smartarse here, but meh! It was after the AU1 update that Ford intrioducted transponder keys... July 1999, Update came out in March... 2ndly, SB barinas were either made in South America (Brazil?) or Spain.... If it's the transponder, AFAIK everything will work cept for spark? |
