I was just wondering if somebody could tell me what size the factory front and rear speakers are in an LT Focus hatch (late 2007 model)? I want to purchase some replacements. Cheers

These are a strange speaker, as you can see from the photo below, because they have a tapered plastic mount that is an integral part of the unit.
FWIW, I recently had a pair of 6" installed to replace my front door ones, and they fitted in fine behind the existing grilles, so no cutting needed. ![]() I'm not actually sure where the inches are measured when quoting speaker sizes, but the original LT Focus ones are 16cm diameter from edge to edge including the plastic, which is a shade under 6.5" (that's across the top, not at the tapered plastic bottom, which is about 22cm across at its widest point)

Thankyou very much for the info. The car audio guy at JB HiFi (Maribyrnong)told me that 6in splits would replace the fronts, and 6in two ways the rears. He wasn't ultra confident however. Based on the info I've gotten I think that's right though. For the record I'm replacing everything with JL Audio drivers, powerd by a four channel kicker amp. No sub. I just wanted good quality balanced sound... Will post some pics / specs of all the factory speakers for people's info.
