In the photo the facia is leaning back, when mounted in the car the gauges are almost level, only angled up slightly, quite happy with the positioning.
Sunday, started sanding it, dropped it resulting in a decent split where the glass meets the plastic, I got sick of it and gave it a halfarsed coat of paint and fitted it. Now it is fitted, I'll be buying some more cups and making a new one, this time I will do it right and fibreglass the entire facia so I don't have issues of it seperating, also I will change how the stereo mounts. Wont have the new one complete for a while as I will be buying a new headunit prior to finishing it. I'll put some photo's up later as it is now, positioning of the gauges is great, just the finish is rubbish. |

I think that one looks great stealth.
You could probably fix that one up a bit and sell it for a bit after you do your new one anyways yeah?

Yeah I might repair it and sell it, but atleast it will do the job until I make a new one so time isn't an issue. here's a phot bassically just showing how the gauges sti from the drivers view
Also bellow the air/fuel gauge (far right) you can see where it seperated after I dropped it which is why the rest of it looks as rough as it is. |

What do you think about mounting only 2 gauges so you can get them in deeper? Just saying that because the end one looks very pronounced. I'm not knocking what you have done and it might be what your after. Looks different thou and I reckon it's good when guys do something different like that

all 3 could be mounted a bt deeper if the angle is changed a fraction but I'm happy with how they sit at present, will only be changing this slightly next time round.

Nope, I'll get around to making a new one soon, might get a couple of series 1 and series 2/3 facias and sell a couple if there is any interest, probably the only way I'll get motivated to do my own.

I'd buy one! Probably with two gauges instead of three though... Did anyone see the fiberglass gauge holder on Ebay earlier this year that held a couple of gauges where the passenger airbag cover goes? Looked pretty awesome and perfect if you don't have a passenger airbag of course! Wish i had some pics...
