These are the rebels that B2tf suggested. QUOTE] Ive always liked these rims real smart look rim. Mate i reackon just keep it simple or it'll just look over dressed specialy with no kit getting stuck on to the car. Nice lowering job with tidy rims to finish the job. Maybe just head to a good tyre mob and have a look c whats out there in the flesh and take your time with it. Nuthin worse then an AU tarted up badly. :

Considering the great value they represent on their own, They are hard to pass up. But otherwise I could consider the GTP 19's too. See what looks best I guess

I dont feel right putting staggered rims on a car like mine unless it had some serious balls under the bonnet to back the look up. Thats just a personal psychological thing of mine. Probably doesnt mean squat to anyone else.
the charcoal dished wheels are a pretty good price @ $600 for 4 I also like these which I can get, wheels only for $700 for 4. I think it coming down to these 2 choices.

If you can get good Aussie made Speedys (the second rim on this page) for only $100 more than the cheap Chinese mag, then I'd go the Speedys every day. But either wheel on this page will look good - what size are you looking at? 18s? If you want 17s, PM me and I'll send you a pic of ones that I have for sale; you may like them (or you may not).

Your right about wheel quality. Not that I have had any major issues with chinese brands in the past personally, I think they are ok for if your on a tight budget. Getting a tire suitable for my needs will be the hard task based on price. Was looking at getting goodyear SP Sport maxx tires at the same time, but they are a bit pricey. I wonder if they are any good. Thanks

Thanks for the offer Austin, but I wanna stick to 18's if possible.
I think I have found my inspiration based on the following car/wheel combinations Now Im not gonna go out of my way to copy these cars, but Im sure gonna use these cars to inspire a good choice in rim. I like the above cars for different reasons. The red AU (Glens AUII) is just class. Mild body kit add ons, immaculate paint and clean debadged body on deep dished 5 spokes. Sensational 012's TS50 is pure sex in black. Nothing too much out of the ordinary but the lowering job, and spotless body with those wheels just set it off. BlueDriver's car is a work of art. Top example of clean T-series with original looking deep dished rims. Cant say much more than superb. These cars are pure examples of what a GOOD set of rims can do to a car IF you make the right choice. Thanks for the inspiration fellas. I think I know what I must do now. ;)

You picked my three favourite AU's, lol.
Glenn sold his car a long time ago, to a bloke in Beenleigh. I saw it the other day, and it still looks great. Good to see its being kept in good condition. 012's car is the best AU I have ever seen. If there was a car I could have, thats it. And Bluedrivers car is awesome, especially with those rims.

Thanks fellas appreciate your kind comments about my car and I too agree with the other 2 fine AU's, a credit to both the owners but I'm sure Glen may have regrets letting go of his baby.
Agree wheels maketh or braketh the "look" or maybe "balance" is best said and believe me I've gone through a few....... Funny those wheels on mine above I have bought twice LOL..after a short time I moved them on and Mick here ex BLUPRNTXR8 bought them for his ute, I probably went through another 4 sets till I thought yer these look spot on and I bought another set but my bug bear they are not wide enough at the rear, a AU imo needs 9.5 rear fitted with 275's. So that combo is my spare set (+the original 5spokes) being speedy infernos (machined, love the dish 8.5 frnts 9.5 rears) but the 20's above are nearly perfect ! Good luck with your quest and look forward to your choice, its harder than getting a women imo LOL....

Its a bit of a mixed bag with those wheels too. I hear some good reports of the wheels being ok, and others saying that the paint is flaking off or the wheels being slight out of round etc. Usually the place you buy them from will replace it under their warranty but be prepared for anything. I have had starcorp 'tracer' rims on my Subaru and they were fine. No issues. Just comes down to who is balancing the rims and tires. As long as thats been properly it should be fine. Check out this site for full range. But beware from buying from this company. http://wheelworx.com.au/starcorp.html
