Your post was "Ba f6 only has 270 flywheel kw mate no chance" I don't agree with how this is phrased...in that you are qualifying that, as the F6 has less peak power it won't win. It probably won't win as stock vs. stock the manual is slower down the quarter. I used the analogy of the Fg xr6t as it too has 270rwkw. If the B series F6 was an auto, I would back that to win.

i think the auto in the HSV is the key. the manual will loose too much boost in the shift.
if it was a BF F6 with a ZF i think there would be alot of commodore in the rear view mirror... Ice |

As others have noted the F6 manual will have to dump boost and spool-up again every time you do a gearchange so even if you get your launch and each gear change done and timed beautifully, (easier said than done), it'll still be about half a second slower than the same car equipped with a ZF box. That half a second is what will let the Senator in, IMO, but it should be very close. If you had the ZF euqipped F6 I'd have picked that on paper to be the winner. Have Fun

Ba f6 manual 270 fly wheel kw vs ve 6.0ltr senator auto with 307 flywheel kw. Nuff said, i have an xr6t tuned to 270 rear wheel horsepower which translates to ruffly 270 fly wheel kw auto and i only beat a ve ss (270 fly wheel kw) by 1 car length. So 307 kw will be hard to beat.

Secondly kilowatts are for stickers, newton metres are for trophies. Unfortunately most do not understand the difference. Thirdly as almost all of people posting here have never actually driven either vehicle let alone both it is all just theoretical horse poo. When the flag drops the bullcrap stops.......just go and drop the flag..... |

And the fact that you get all the herbs pretty much from the get go (~2000rpm) Back on topic...Close race, but F6 by a bonnet is my bet

VE 6.2l GTS 325kw vs Hyper pro car 36kw which do you think would win ? The hyper pro does the quarter in 12 flat and 0-100 in less than 5 seconds. It also only weighs around 185kgs with driver. as flappist said peak power means nothing.

The f6 in manual form will beat the senator as long as you shift right and get decent tyres traction to smash it off the line.

eg. if you were to stick stephen richards in both cars on seperate runs, which would be faster.

ok so we had a bit of a squirt (on private property) and it took me 2 attempts to snap him up, first launch bogged down, second launch found the right friction point, had to ride the clutch abit, and doing 5500rpm changes, got me half a car infront everytime!
