Personally - I say live life and experience it. Doesnt mean you have to turn into an alcoholic or jump off the rails on drugs......but experience some things man!

Im now a parent and to be honest Im happy I had my wild days......gives me some experience and slight understanding of maybe what my kids will go through or whatever when they are at that age.

And only one other point id like to mention - great if you have chosen that path of no drinking or drugs..........however please dont take the moral high ground against those that do perhaps drink or otherwise indulge differently to yourself.

(not saying this has happened though - it hasnt come across like that in these posts which is good!)

Just wondering would you guys classify me as weird or derpriving myself?
I have NEVER EVER been drunk, never drunken any alcohol (and dont plan to ever), also never done any drugs (except panadol but then hardly ever i think last time i had one was 8 months ago).
Its your choice what you do but I can say that I've had some of my best times ever whilst under the influence.

If you do decide to do any of the aformentioned things, make sure its coz you want to and not because everyone else is doing it.

I for one used to drink much more than I do now... after a while, getting pished is not as exciting as it used to be and after throwing up too often you start to wonder exactly what you are doing to your body.

So now I just drink a bit, never to excess because it's just not worth it. I like the little buzz you get and it's relaxing... and you get a bit more fearless. Having said that, ideas you would not normally consider good ones while sober suddenly become FABULOUS and you act on them immediately :
i thought my reply to this topic was good but BINDI YOU SAID IT BETTER THAN I COULD . that is brilliant . you available for counselling . on second thoughts maybe not , i might try and act on a fabulous idea after having a few HAHAHAH....

Nah mate, nothing wrong with not drinking, I don't, mainly because of the 0.0 bac limit on my Ps, but I'd rather spend my money on my car anyway...

Yeah right... I'd just sit there and discuss the deficiencies in the current marriage system, discuss their sex lives, and then I'd stuff with people's heads... I'd just have to learn hypnotherapy so that I could make them do things like Peter Powers or something.

It'd be too dangerous, that kind of power would go to my head!
