I am yet to witness anything horrific IRL, but 9/11 certainly has scarred me for life.

Anything like tubgirl, weightlifting man.... that kinda stuff.

Watching somebody go from a normal, healthy, normal person to somebody who couldn't even move and then eventually die as a result of Motor Neuron Disease, that was a very sad experience. Worst thing was that it didn't affect their brain at all while their body slowly stopped working, I don't think I can imagine many worse ways to go...

You too huh mate? My grandfather, who was never sick a day in his life went this way about 4 years ago. He was a carpenter, who built my parents house rocked up there to do something and realised he could not lift his hammer as high as he used to. Over about 6 years, he wasted away in front of my eyes. I still miss him. I am glad that I got to know him, unlike some of my cousins who missed the wit of my Grandfather. As you said, My Grandfather was alert and aware. I remember asking him about my house when I built it. He asked about a few things and shook his head in disgust.

I am a Radiographer. Can you imagine the stuff I have seen over the years. Femurs snapped in half and pushing through legs, I have seen through CT Scanners Cancer that will kill somebody, and then listening to the Radiologist say to me how the patient has weeks. :

I wouldn't know where to start, but car vs motorcycle accidents spring to mind, suicides arent much fun either... I won't even go into burns.

It's all very well looking at pics on the net, but until you have seen it, smelt it & felt it... (and then cleaned it up) :

I had the pleasure of seeing a ****er fall off the train he was on top of, messed him up pretty bad, lying there bent over the rail. He was in a coma for months, or so I heard.
