Default 2007 premiers, who will win?

Who will win cats or power? I'm just interested to see what other people think. Cats have been great all year but I think that the power might just get on top of them.

I voted for Port. It could just come down to who has a good day or a bad day really, as they are both very even. I think it will be very close and hopefully a good game to watch.

crows supporter . Im a Port supporter and proud of it. The Power will win because no expectation is on them where as the cats will have every grand final loser player coming up to them and dumping a heap of cr%p on there shoulders. The cats have made choaking an art form down in grand finals and this year will be no different!! :

... But on the other hand if they do break their reputation of losing in the grand final all well and good as I'm also a FORD supporter and this will cheer the whole town and company up!!

what a useless thread. GEELONG will litterally flatten the pathetic PORT ADELAIDE team.
Consistencey is the key to their success to todays champion football teams. Big Steven King and Brad Ottens will make mince meat of Lade and Brougham lol. Both are like 10kg bigger then their prospective Port counterparts, not to mention taller.

yeah they are so pathetic they finished second on the ladder and are in their second GF in 3 years. as for your ruck contest example. lade and brogan are arguably the best in the league and stephan king prolly won't play anyway.

I am torn between wanting Geelong to win, versus not wanting a victorian club to win it. How can one make that decision....!

I think power might pip them in a close one, only on their experience in close games, and their grand final experience... Although i said the same thing about brisbane in 2004

I'm a CATS supporter and have been all my life. They will win. Top of the ladder at the end of the season by 3 games. 9 ALL-Australian team members. NAB Rising star award. VFL Grand Final Winners. Brownlow Medal Winner.

All of this has to add up to be the best AFL team for 2007, the awards, numbers and performances just speak for themself, I believe. Maybe I'm a bit bias too though and have my fingers and toes crossed for Saturday.

GO CATS!!!!!!

Go Cats, they've wanted it more than any other team this year and I don't see this changing, Port have a chance but hopefully Geelong will win. That Chad Cornes doesn't deserve another premiership.

All valid points, but are you forgeting that we are talking about GFC???? They were in 4 grand finals in a 7 year period and lost them all,I wont believe it until I se it,Im a port adelaide supporter but I use to barrack for geelong when port were still in the SANFL here in S.A. I watched all those losses and they have all the pressure on them this weekend being HOT favourites,I will be going for port, but it wont break my heart if geelong win because of all those painful memories of when I yous to barrack for them.

Geelong are my sentimental choice, but I think Port will win the on day.

I hope it's a close game.

IF Geelong WIN, this town is going to go off its face. They have waited soooo long and got soo close it will almost be unbearable to live here, its starting to get that way now. The last time they lost the place was like a cemetery, I hate to think what it would be like if they lost again. Well fingers crossed lets see what happens.

Look at all the NRL tosspots and their replies. I know reading is a new concept to you all. It's not that hard to refraim from posting where you have no interest and you replies are just a waste of space.

I vote Port because I'm a South Aussie, and plus I hate Geelong.

I wouldnt worry to much about NRL fans mate, most of them are to lazy to go and watch there "beloved" clubs,it's more convenient to watch it on fox, thats why 15 thousand is there average crowd as opposed to the AFL average of around 40 thousand.

Humour??? ha maybe it was funny the first couple of times but you's do it in every AFL thread that shows up.

If I see a NRL thread I don't even bother to read it because I hate the game and therefore by posting there i'm just wasting bandwidth that could be used for far more interesting things like porn or cars.

I'm going for Geelong because my entire family goes for them and most of my mates and it'd be good to take the flag back from interstate clubs.

I don't quite understand how people can keep referring to Geelong as the chokers.

Yes, they lost grandfinals in the 90's.

Not a single player, coach or football operations manager remains a part of the clubs game (accept Ken Hinkley assist coach).

One would assume that having achieved that since 1995 when they lost to Carlton, things might have changed.

HOWEVER, that does not mean that I don't think Port will give them a good run. I expect it to be just as nail biting as Collingwood versus Geelong.

I also have to agree with Jimmy Bartel on his saying that he can't understand why people would assume that just because the last 3 brownlow medalists went on to lose the grand final means he will too. History may repeat itself but it doesn't mean it's a dead set certainty!
