Default OMG eBay & PayPal Backed me UP !!!!!

Well we all hear the horror story's of eBay so I though I would post up my story - so here goes:-

This is something I bought from FLORIDA

13/12/2006 Won 2 Items off eBay from Same Seller
13/12/2006 Paid Via PayPal
14/12/2006 They thanked me for my payment and told me the item has been posted
14/12/2006 I asked them if they knew when the item will arrive
15/12/2006 They told me they don't know
23/12/2006 They left me Positive Feedback and said i was a fast payer and easy to deal with
28/12/2006 Sent message advising items not arrived - No Response
29/12/2005 Sent message advising items not arrived - No Response
02/01/2007 Sent another message advising items not arrived
04/01/2007 GOT RESPONSE and they said they were on holidays and as they had my postal address they needed my street address even though I gave them both postal and street address's at time of paying. They said they would send it ASAP
05/01/2007 Requested Tracking Number and date when items are going to arrive - NO RESPONSE
07/01/2007 Requested Tracking Number and date when items are going to arrive - NO RESPONSE again
08/01/2007 Sent message saying will leave BAD FEEDBACK and report to eBay and Paypal - NO RESPONSE
10/01/2007 Left Bad Feedback and Reported to eBay and Paypal outlining in detail what has happened

NOW THIS IS THE GOOD BIT

10/01/2007 PayPal deduct the amount I paid from their account straight away - then they mailed the items
15/01/2007 The items arrived - WOOO HOOOO
16/01/2007 Received email from then that the items had arrived and that I have to close the PayPal Dispute or they will report me for FRAUD and THEFT....LOL

Anyway we have been sending emails back and forth now and I told them to apologise for sending the items late then I will close the PayPal dispute

Havent recieved my apology so PayPal has not refunded the the money yet..........

I AM LOVING IT..............

Sweet read that was, I have had numerous deadbeats on ebay the last 12 months. Mostly winning the bids and vanishing off the planet. No loss financially, but time consuming and frustrating. Good to see you at the smiling end man. :

Can't you sell to the second highest bidder? Or by then the second highest bidder has bought something else?

Luckily I have not had any dead beat buyers as I usually trace their address via eBay and other methods and call their home and ask them whats going on.........

Are you happy with the item, despite the lateness of its arrival? I say pay for the good you asked for. You have already left a neg (as they so desperatly deserved), but you have been supplied an item, pay!
Its all good to take the moral high ground, but two wrongs don't make a right!

Glad it arrived!

PS, I have only suffered great dealings on Ebay so far, I guess it is because I am careful to research the seller. I do not buy from any other site but au!

Cheers,
Mike

thats a good example of why you should use pay-pal on ebay

i had a product get lost in the mail and i contacted the seller they sent another one it to didnt arrive after 3 weeks i then contacted the seller they repunded me the money through pay-pal 2 weeks later the product arrived then 2 days after that the other one arrived both that were shipped 5 weeks apart

i tried to contact the seller but they were removed from ebay

i contacted ebay and they told me to just keep the product

Yep I am happy with the items but I have not fitted them yet to see if they work BUT i didn't deduct the money from their account, Paypal did, I hadn't even go that far to lodge for a refund. Paypal just took the my payment out of their account............

Well to post the items 27 days later after I paid as soon as I won the auction just does nto cut it in my book.

All i have asked for them to do is send me an apology and admit that they were wrong and I will close the PayPal dispute........... simple! lol

Anyway I think they should wait 27 days before Paypal refunds the payment back to them - 2 wrongs may not make a righ BUT it feels so GOOD.........

That would of been a good result, get two products for FREE.

See eBay is not all that Bad, you have the Bad Story's and the Good Story's but you only usually hear about the bad story's!

Wow, I've never had any drama on Ebay, but this shows how much safer it is if you use Paypal. I think I'll be switching to that method in the future.

I usually like to pick up items that I win on eBay and pay on pick up so that way nothing can go wrong........

But if its something I am buying from overseas I will make sure they have good feedback and that I can pay using PayPal.

But eBay is a gamble all the time and you have to rely on the seller to be honest.

If you don't trust the seller then ask them to send the item by Cash on Delivery

yes.. pay pal is your friend! I had issues with a part as well, and I ended up on top in the end as well

Although i had my account suspended, someone wrote to ebay saying that "I" wanted my account suspended.... now that was a pain in the neck to sort out!!!!!

Had a similar thing happen with PayPal. They refunded the payment then about 3 weeks after that the item turned up with no return address and the seller had closed his account.

Well I paid $105 US for Postage and the item fitted in an envelope.............. I also checked how long it would take to arrive which was 5 days via UPS which is the service I choose - They posted the item 27 days after I won the auction..............

If they gave me a Tracking Number it would of been all good and as long as I knew it was on the way - no problem. But for $105 postage I would expect better service, if it was in Aus I could send it to Perth for 50cents plus $2.50 for reg post...............lol

i agree with nicholas.
people need to be a little more patient. also remember this all happened over the christmas period. things take a fair bit longer over xmas. lots of public holidays to slow things down plus the fact that the postage for the month of december will be almost the same as for the other 11 mths combined!!!!
companies will normally close for a couple of weeks aswell and if you miss their last postage you will need to wait for them to re-open. this isnt their fault . this is just a fact of life at xmas.

Yes I am not stupid and already knew this, that is why I checked their ebay account, they posted up new items for sale every day from 13th Dec to 10th Jan, they also replied to some bad feedback in that period (02nd Jan) they obtained. So obviously they were trading every day.

So therefore if they could post up new items and reply to bad feedback why couldn't they respond to my various emails? obviously they had use of a computer........

If I paid on the same date the auction was won I would expect some sort of credit and the seller would be happy to send the items ASAP.
