He has a lot to learn, I think he's only about 21. With time I think he will make less errors and get a bit more confidence and go on to be a very good cricketer for NZ.

Damnit Fleming, shoulda run himself out he wasted too many balls and when he finally decided to start hitting it he goes, and leaves tailenders to do the middle order sluggers job.
The guy before Taylor (name escapes me) I picked him going out within 1-2 overs and it happened, the look on his face was that of someone who wasn't sure and nervous as hell, only a matter of time before he was a goner. |

Agree that Clarke should have been dropped, Lee probably to (but we all know that won't happen) - Watson shouldn't be in though and they should have kept Tait as one of the fast bowlers (perhaps ahead of Johnson?). Anyway, doesn't matter now I guess. I rekon that the Aussie's will win the finals but if England manage to bat first in at least two games - they'll win one of the matches. |

Woulda liked to have seen NZ chase down that HUGE run score posted a couple weeks back, they got so close... but kept dropping Hayden...

Not long to go until they play.

Does anyone know if the Tri-Nations will be an annual contest?
Yupe, the Tri series and Chapel Hadlee series are nothing compared to the World Cup. Here are the pools for the 2007 Cricket World Cup in the West Indies. Pool 1 - (St Kitts & Nevis) Australia South Africa Scotland Netherlands Pool 2 - (Trinidad & Tobago) Sri Lanka India Bangladesh Bermuda Pool 3 - (St Lucia) New Zealand England Kenya Canada Pool 4 - (Jamaica) Pakistan West Indies Zimbabwe Ireland Looks like NZ will get it's chance at revenge against England in the pool games. Top 2 teams go through to quarter finals and looking at those pools all the big guns will go on.....going to be some nail biting stuff. ;)
