Default AUII 6 Stacker (XR6 model, no subwoofer)

Hi There PPl.

My six stacker just died. It's the default model which shiped with the 2000 model AUII XR6 VCT. ( I think). Bascially, its a double head DIN with a built in 6 stacker..

There seems to be a jack on the back which is not used. I'm wondering if this jack has an AUX input on it somewhere? Where would be a good place to find out what the wiring of the two jacks are? If I can't get an Aux input then I think I'm gonna have to replace the head unit and this means knowing what the existing wires are??

Mick

It is an aux in as my sat nav unit plugs into it for voice through the speakers.
It mutes the audio from the radio or cd to let you hear the spoken instructions.

Not sure of the wiring as I have not been able to decipher the diagram in the Ellerys manual

OK Great. This is a start. Does anyone else know or have access to the pinout definitions on this model?

Sundeep had the old Rex multimedia system awhile back that I was going to buy, but it used the plug that the satnav used so I couldn't plug both in at the same time.
I think he did a fair amount of fiddling around with it to make it work on a normal system so he may know the pinouts.
Worth a PM to him

I have a premium sound head unit for sale 6 disc in dash/tape player from a 2001 fairlane ghia.
Bought it for my AU 1 fairmont but the steering wheel controls wont work with it, trust Ford to change something as little as that, I'm sure it could be done but I'd rather get the right unit to go straight it.
Any one interested just send me a message.

6 disc in dash tape player?

i thought it was either in dash 6 stacker.. or tape player with stacker control?
i got the tape player with stacker control but no stacker... ideally i would like to get a factory stacker and lead.. for AU I Futura
how much are you looking at for it? and can you just clarify what it is exactly?

Default premium sound

It is a 6 disc in dash WITH tape player, see the pic, I have it on ebay.

Taken (paid for-I have a tax invoice from the wrecker!) from a 2001 Fairlane that was a write off.
I have the code and the VIN of the car.

Sorry to dig up an old thread.

I have a complete premium sound system from my series one fairlane if you are interested in part of it. I have someone that wants the amp and subwoofer, so if you want the stacker, we can arrange something. If you want the lot you get preference. Let me know
