hey guys, at work the other day, (wade cams) we had a car pull up out the front. it just looked like a european coupe, but on closer look it wasnt.
the front half was a vk/vh commodore, and the back looked like a torana. it was tan/creme in color, definently a 5ltr under the bonnet. any info on this one? cheers scott

Probably the Opel Monza - made in the early eighties i think.
Did it look like the images below ? I think Brock brought a few out to Oz and converted them to a 5 litre V8. Does anyone else have info on these ? |

Yep Brock pre polarisor days brought 1 or 2 Opel out and converted the to 5.0 / 5 speed and from memory they had a VK style grille. Black & Red were the colours, but this was a loooong time ago...

semi O/T there's a yellow VK wagon in Maffra which has been modified into a 60s delivery van (ie, front doors only, the rear half has all been filled in with metal panels). It looks pretty damn good actually.
But yeah, that VH coupe looks wrong. Like the Wayne's World car |

thats it good on ya guys. well i would never have guessed it being badged as an opel, but ey the commodore did originate from europe
