hey people..
New to the ford scene so got a few questions for u I am previoulsy up until 2 weeks ago a r33 skyline owner and i have sold that due to the amount of .... that drive them now. Anyways my qestion to u all is this.. My skyline had 478rwhp on 18psi so it was a weapon on the road and i want my next car to be the same but possibly thinking about more power then that. I have test driving both the xr6turbo and xr8 utes and am in love with both esp the awesome note that the xr8 provides.. I am jsut wondering has anyone done massive power conversions on either and which one was easier. well not so much easier but more possible lets say. So jsut wondering which way u would go if u had a choice thanks.. I was looking at the f6 ute but have been told by a few people that the extra money u pay for them is not worth it thanks. |

People like Nizpro have been getting some awesome numbers out of the XR6T. Probably the best bang for buck.

i have driven all the fpv range except the f6 ute,the typhoon was an unbelievelby quick car and it was a 6sp auto, only 279kw,feels like way more.it would absolutly cream the gt and anything else inbetween.you do get twin plate clutch, slightly different interneals i think.and one hell of a mean car.as for mods, the pcm doesnt like mods to engine so flash tuning is the go.they are a bit on the heavy side though.i work in a ford dealership.

B. Buy the F6 Typhoon , twin turbo setup as i think there around the 280 kW at the wheels STOCK , Bang for your Buck !! Cheers

My brother drives an xr6turbo and recently put an edit on it and gained an extra 40rwkw and a massive amount of torque. Forced induction is the way to go the xr6turbos coming with a massive gt35/40 ball bearing turbo can handle over 350rwkw if you are going for big power numbers get a typhoon as they have the stronger internals where as the xr6turbo's internals need to be upgraded at around 330rwkw... if you plan on drag racing it get an auto but if your into manual's avoid the 5 speed manuals in the mk1 xr6t's as they struggle to handle the torque after about 280rwkw where as the 6speed manual has been used with over 1000hp.
Cheers Zac P.s Take a look at HPF(Horse Power Factory) or Nizpro i would highly recommend their kits they both have websites where you can read up about their developments. |
