Gday fellas; I was wondering if anyone had any EA-EL shims that I could use/buy =-]
I have got a cam to throw in, needs shims though :( All west wreckers said "We dont have any" Ofcourse they dont have much idea about what shims are. I saw 36 shims on the way in (3 EF/EL Sedan 6cyl)... Anyway, any help appreciated! Ben |

EA-ED are the same and EF/EL are the same.
So what rocker do you actually have, I am assuming EL??

i heard they are very hard to find in the west melb area. it is worth a trip out to pick a part (Kilsyth/campbellfield) i was charged $2 for 12. they have heaps of cars to pick from. all you need is a shifter and a 10mm spanner, and some pliers.

Wreckers will not normally pull down a motor to sell just the shims, it would mean they could not sell the motor as complete, but if you find a wrecker with a damaged motor, you may be in luck. Another option is possibly finding a head repairer and see if they have some to sell. I would just get them from your local dealer, they normally keep them in stock and should be open toorrow morning
