I was recently discussing with Swoop about Torque converters and thought id post up here and see peoples thoughts.
My Auto has decided to "spit the dummy" so im going to be replacing the auto. Now Swoop said that apparently the EL Torque Converters have a higher stall then the EA ones do? If so can I use a AU one? What is the main difference between the EL and EA one? thanks guys :voldar02:

Mick you're saying how nuts my XE is (hah....) and whinging about e-series then you're worried about 200 RPM difference in stall converters?
I tell you what, I'll open my converter up, smash out a couple of fins and we'll see what stall speed it has :P |

EA's have a 1750rpm stall compared with 2000 in later models. You could also look at an aftermarket 2200-2500 stall but they are generally expensive.
