Default mad_ea_spac is back!!!

Hey!

Cruising through the pages of ebay this afternoon looking for parts for my EB I stumbled across my first car for sale (the people that have been in the club since 2003 will know it)! Its the car i regret ever selling and always wanted to buy it back well I FINALLY HAVE!

Im suprised it's exactly as i sold it! even still has the e-series stickers on it!
picking it up next weekend cant wait to have it back!

Got her back for $500 not bad considering i sold it for $1700 in 2004!

Here are some pics from when i owned it back in 04

the famous green bumper! (now on ea2ba's car)

and here are pics from the e-bay auction i bought it from

now comes the problem with my wagon. i dont know wether to keep going with it or stop that project strip it of all its good parts and throw them on the ea and send the wagon shell to sims metal

if i strip the wagon i can use its parts to make my ea an mpi 4 speeder, which is very tempting, but after all the hard work i just put into it?! ill have to have a good think about it i guess

anyway im so happy right now! : :

Nice one. I say strip the wagon and put the 4L into the EA. Don't bother with the 4 speed auto though, just go t5 straight up while you're at it!

the EB's a 3.9 and the engines dumping oil, all i would use from that is the mpfi conversion if i was to wreck it,

dont know about t5 just yet my vx is a manual they are fun to drive but i kind of want and auto too. i guess ill see what happens when that time comes around

i deffinetly want to get rid of the pos cfi system the ea's running though

The V6 is the most unreliable POS engine i have ever owned why would i want to put that in the ea? lol the EA's better off with it's standard engine! :P

That's a nice happy story to start the day off with - better than one of those soppy emails people circulate. You're lucky - I wish I could get my first Ford back (MkIII 2.0 Escort Rally Pack). If I was in your shoes, the sentimental value of the EA would outweigh the ED.

You can get it towed when it throws a fan belt all over again.

Yeah came as a shock to me when i was reading the ebay ad, then had a closer look and realised it was it! The more i think about it the more i think that stripping the wagon of its good bits is the best idea having 3 cars is too much for regos, insurance etc :(

Is it still in good condition? the auction said it was in excellent condition so hopefully it aint too much worse off from when i owned it some 3 yrs ago

haha yeah, its suprising i even found it! i usually look at pictures on ebay and click what ever grabs my attention. the car didn't have gallery images, must of been pure luck that i clicked on it!

Yeah I noticed that, I remember i had to chop the exhaust to fix that tip on it (it was only screwed on with the bolts it came with), I wonder if its a new exhaust or he just removed the tip and left the exhaust as it is

Eitherway I dont mind because I have a spare oval tip for it, similar to the one on my VX except the tip isnt rolled at the end

Well i picked it up today, its a little worse for wear

The clearcoat problem on the roof has gotten worse about 100X worse!

The door handles that i painted have started peeling:( and front drivers doorhandle has stopped working

Front bumper is White on the top

Spoler has cracked - Not going to keep this one anyway

The Beast Cfi engine is damn dusty!

Smells like a cigarette, and looks like it hasnt been washed or polished the whole 3 years the guy owned it!

But suprisingly still drives almost better than my commodore!

I have got a hell of alot of work ahead of me, I plan to take it in for a RWC on monday!
