i remember a while back on the old forums there was a thread with a link to a site with specs on the 1/4 mile, 0-100 etc of e-series
i remember that site had that the cars with a 3 speeder transmission were a little quicker than the 4 speeder and some one said it was because the 3 speed transmission shifted faster is this right? thanks for any help (does no good that our section was deleted off the 'other' forums : )

Dunno what site your talking about
3 speeders shift quicker cause they are not electronic, the auto doesnt have to "think" when shifting. It just slams into gear.

3 speed and 4 speed are the same (basically) as Mick said 3 speed is a mechanical box with a kickdown cable, where as the 4 speed is an Electronic controlled box, with an overdrive gear, ie 4th. The ratios are the same in the EA's and EB ED, but don't quote me on that. Also the 3 speeds are tougher, from what i've read heard and expierenced.
5 speed shizit on them both! Why do you wanna know Tommi ? |

Yeah, sorry about that. I got a little fired up considering some people didn't take my recent comments about 3 speeds (no harm intended) too lightly, and so I jumped to some crazy conclusions!

Look Tommi, can you buy a car as a project and stick to it please? First (only as far back as my time here and the other site goes) it was the S-pack, then the ED, then you wanted the TX3.... Your ED wagon has the potential to be a nice as wagon eventually, if you put the time and a bit of cash into it. Just look at neb's wagon for instance. Can you promise me that this EA Ghia will actually be lucky enough for you to come at least sorta close to finishing it? You have so many idea's about doing things, and you dream of doing so much, why not actually do it rather than wasting time and money half-arseing about?
(not meant to be attacking Tommi , just i wanna see you actually get a car finished (not that they ever really are), because it's getting frustrating LOL)
