l've been a keen amateur for many years. Getting married and having a family re-kindled my interest and l find myself getting more interested and creative now.
l have always had Canon film SLR's which l was using along with a Sony digital but recently sold the lot and bought a Canon D20 with a couple of L lenses. Its a great peice of kit, the quality is exceptional and the ability to take 100's of photos at a time is great. You take more risks and ultimatley get shots you wouldnt have on film. |

I love photography, but consider myself very much an amateur. I use a Nikon F90 and Nikon F4, and love using a 300mm lens for closeups and candids. My subjects are primarily animals. I don't like using the auto functions, but very much like to manipulate the camera to how I want to view the photo. I have used a number of digital cameras, both cheap and super expensive, and don't believe the quality is anywhere near film, and I get very frustrated with their limitations. I'm probably very spoilt using the Nikons though!
I haven't had anything published, but I have been invited to display some shots in an exhibition shortly, which I am pretty chuffed about! However, I cannot find a photgraphy club in sth east Melbourne. Anyone have any ideas? |
