Wow, I know everyone further south than me is copping it, but Jeebus Christ...

Reminds me when we had our restaurant and the water rose up over the back wall on the river from rain + king tides.

It was a BMW, the windows were not left down, the electrics were playing up and the window was going up and down by its self as well as the wipers

Ok today would have to be one of the worst i have had for a while.
All started at work where half of my job has been washed away, next rushing to get in my ute when my mobile slips off my belt and gets washed down the drain, Now i have the sh*ts its ****ing down rain and im trying to get home before all the roads are blocked. Nearlly home one street away and the road is already flooded, didnt think it was that bad so i drive through, at the time i thought that all was good (besides the amount of water that was rising towards my house). I go to the gararge and find that i am missing my number plate, the plastic tray under the engine bay, one of my fog lights is dislodged and both are full of water.
Looking on the bright side things cant get any worse, except that the water is still rising :
Ok i feel a little better now so thanks for listening _2:

Sounds like you're having fun Hoops. :P

It's just stopped raining here too, except we got a small fraction of what you copped.

Doesn't look too good thee mate but I can see in pics 1+2 you are prepared with your very own shark net :evil_laug . Are the property values rising at the same rate as the water? Nothing like a waterfront home. Hope it all works out OK for you.

That's incredible. I just saw some more images on the news from over there, things are looking very very not good. Good luck to you folks, I know from about a month ago the amount of damage this sort of flooding can cause.

Bugger.

That is a lot of water, hopefully some fell in the catchment areas.

At least you can go for a swim whenever you like!

Flooded jets would have been at Coolangatta Airport. Saw pics this morning on Sunrise. Quite amazing really.
