Default going price on an EL ghia 5l

hi guy
whats the going price on an 97fairmont ghia 5ltr full service history
143000k one owner dark green he asking $ 9950
is this an fair price had a look today and its in excellent condition

slap a magnet on each quarter and take the spare out of the boot to check for stretch marks. Also look for spanner marks on the front end panel bolting, also sus if rusty resadue around this area if all is well don't think go for it not many around.

Yeah, definately do the magnet check (checks for bog in the panel) - look for rusty residue (means it's been kept near the coast and will succumb to rust faster).

Also, check all the gaps in the panels so you won't have a headache with bad repair work.

Other than that, if it's all good mechanically - go for it!

my brother just sold his 95 for 6500,150 000 on clock, so probly about right. car yards ask 12-15000

depends whos selling it.
car yards cost more than most private sales.
i personally wouldnt pay anymore than that for one.

I paid 16K in August last year for one with 112k on the clock, excellent condition, service history etc.

Wow a $50+ vehicle to less than $10g in 8yr's, it's all good for the used car buyer, I'd buy one in good nick for that price, I still think the EL F/ghia's are the nicest looking Ford out there.
