Umm i believe JMM did it to run 12psi, but were constantly blowing it. Powerdyne's use an internal belt rather than gears, and the problem is that they are only rated to a certain RPM before to much strain is put on the belt and it snaps. I asked a few places and they all told me that you really don't wanna be pushing much more boost from them, maybe 10psi max.
I was told that it is recommended to change the belts every 40-50,000k's (if memory serves correctly). Also, if you leave the blower for 1-2years or so without being used, the belt tends to dry out and become brittle causng it to snap (that's what happened to mine, well that and over reving :P). The belts are $170 so it's not incredibly expensive to replace. I would leave the boost as is and spend some money elsewere (ie cam, headwork, exhaust etc). PS, what mods have you done and what power you getting out of her???

Sounds like a nice setup (i shoulda gone petrol lol). Umm i never did a back to back comparison of the kit with and without the cooler, but it's be a must before you upgrade the blower. Also upgrade your exhuast to a 3inch if not already done.

Some of the US 5L guys are running 11psi pullies on the powerdynes but it doesn't seem like they last long at all before breaking a belt or worse. Intercooling isn't all that efficient on Powerdynes from what I have read because they produce a relatively cool charge and the pressure drop the IC causes more power loss than the cooler charge creates. Best bet is upgrading it to a XB-1A or even better a Vortech.

EDXR8, i've read that aswell (about the cooler decreasing power), but it's still something you'd want to do before upgrading to the XB-1A or a vortech as they are gear driven blowers and wont be putting out the relatively cool air charge that the belt driven powerdyne does.
