BMW M3 has 7 speed DSG.
But, yes there aren't many. But, there aren't all that many RWD platforms except for premium products.

ppl say V8 owners don't worry about fuel..
so when ppl buy 4Cyl do they worry about grunt??

Yes lower speeds are the worst. Taking off from the lights was really hard to make feel smooth. My wife kept yelling at me to take it easy- then when she had a drive she understood that the accelerator was really touchy and the transmission was not smooth at all. We rented a VW Beetle 2.5, and it felt really punchy (so it should being a punch buggy) and accelerating was nowhere near as smooth as even my '02 GM 4 speed auto. But it was fast for a 4 cyl. Actually it was so unsmooth and zippy, I thought it must have had a turbo. But it didn't. It really felt like it did though.
