remove the clutch fan and shround, you need to make sure you have the little mounting points (i.e. nuts in the top of the radiator), and yes it mounts straight in.

it fits in no worrys take off the clutch fan and you should b able to fit it straight in. make sure you wire it up properly. Mick (initalD) has had a few problems with his set up and it drains 30amps when they are on. not good. so take time and ground it properly.

We really need a tutorial on this. The EF/EL radiator has mounts for the fans but the water pump outlet is a different size on the six cylinders. An EF/EL V8 radiator is suitable for a thermofan conversion on any EA-ED. But to avoid this expense, most people mount the fans using a more imaginative method (cable ties? ).

Most aftermarket radiators contain the mounting points without being anything special, the radiator I bought for an EA off e-bay has the mounting points, and the natrad radiator smut had in his car (was there when he got it) had the mounting points as well, and I think John_XR6 had the mount points on his as well.

Instead of using those adjustable thermo switches get your self a Honda thermo switch it screws into your thermostat housing no taping is required, The honda thermo switch hasnt got any adjustments on it. Its set to one temp which is close enought to running temp on the falcons. Theres 2 pins on the switch one is grounded and the other runs to the rellay as simple as that.

If you really want to keep you ford all ford you can use a capri thermo switch. They run at the falcon running temp. They use a half inch npt thread so they screw into the thermostat housing on the 6's and into the spare port on the heater line on the 8cyl (models without climate)

Has anyone else fitted this Capri thermo switch? I need to know everything else I need to get (except for thermos :P).

Can anyone here get retail prices on Ford stock - on the Capri switch?

Cheers
