As to the Motor? If your EA is a late one with 4 Speed auto? No worries but if not? you would be limited the the 3Speed auto? You would need to change the Computer on the left pillar and get wiring and change one of your Relays and also the Fuel Pump. BIG job but maybe worth it? It is in MY mind to do same : I have same as you, CFI but in an EB I. |

The main question is why, I highly doubt that many CFI engines would be putting out enough power to warrant the change. You might want to just get a decent filter for the current setup instead, Finerfilter do one for the CFI's. Another option would be to do what many are doing and convert the CFI over to MPEFI. The parts are failry easy and cheap to source from a wrecker and the power gains are good.

only the first of the EA's came with 3-speed autos - so anything from EB-EL will be fine! (assuming you currently have a 4-speed auto!)

if its CFI, get a unifilter or somethin for it (round air filter) that will help with the rev range
