Default Smoked Headlights

Anyone know a place where i can get Smoked Tint Film for the LT/LS 07 focus?

Will a local window tint shop do this?

Or know if this will fit it?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=160459467957

They have the following models listed under compatible:
Quote:
2007 Ford Focus S Hatchback 3-Door All
2007 Ford Focus S Hatchback 5-Door All
2007 Ford Focus S Sedan 4-Door All

BSEOS, I think we have the same car!

Interested in 'why' you want to tint the head lights? Just aesthetics?

Are yours silver inside or black?

I reckon the headlight in the picture is a Yank headlight. It does look odd, in fact
it looks more like an old fashioned (80's) glass headlight! Wierd.

Non-ebay option...www.metrorestyling.com/category-s/1067.htm

These guys do have an ebay store though. Have just ordered some carbon fibre film through them but am yet to receive it, so can't tell you how fast/reliable their shipping is.

I was looking at doing the same thing with the light shade tint. Will probably go with the zetec headlights when I find them cheap enough.

Those are definitely US headlights.

Be careful buying anything for your Focus from eBay-US - our Focus is the European / Asian model, not the US model.

If you look for Metro Restyling on Facebook and in their photo album, there's a few pics from a fan of theirs that own's a Territory and used the darker film - looks good. Not sure if they're a member on here though.

Zetec have black inside the headlight, CL and LX have chrome. Not sure about Ghia, would assume chrome too.

I got Night Breaker bulbs so it makes up for whatever small percentage is lost as they are way brighter than the OEM osrams that came with the car.

Also it's not just about looks, even though honesty for me it mostly is.. but it also helps prevent scratches, forming of yellow/cloudy headlights offering UV protection prolonging the crystal clear look of the headlights.

Edit: Anyway, decided not to go with the tint film, don't really like how it looks, maybe just go for new angel light headlights, if i can find any decent ones with a really good black backing

if you go to most auto shops and ask for spray tint that will do the trick, its what people use to tint taillights, will allow you to go as light or as dark as you want

the spray tint is illegal on taillights and funnily enough just as illegal on headlights..... nevermind what happens to your insurance if you are unlucky enough to have an accident....

I'm sure we are all well aware of this.

Just as alot of people are aware of the fact that 35% Window tint is the legal limit, though it seems plenty of people still seem to be getting under, if you have a crash in low visibility, the insurance company can just turn around and say we not covering you.

Or if you use the film, just peel it off. Doesn't leave any residue either apparently. Also handy if Mr Plod gets a little picky

Anybody here have any Angel Eyes/Halos fitted to their OEM headlights?

Hmmm bit uneasy about going through with the purchase, site doesn't look too reputable

Thanks for that link, but was hoping for just the halo's (CCFL tubes) and not the whole headlight.
