Default Window trim (pillar) for Ford Fiesta WQ LX 2006

Hi all, I just found this afternoon that the dark grey plastic cover that was attached to my passenger side window is missing ... I suspect this fell off while I was driving on the highway yesterday. The one on the driver side was once loose but I manage to stop and then took it inside the car and glue it back. Photo attached.

Anyone knows what it is called and where could I buy one? I hope it doesn't cost me a lot ... as I think this is a manufacturing fault that the glue was very bad.

Thanks.

I have had the same problem with my 5dr :(

Have got a quote from these guys FordPartUK & they seem quiet reasonable compared to Ford Aus who want $95 for the one part.

I am currently making up a want list so I can get it all at once

PS- its called a Fiesta MK6-Outer Front Door Moulding (3DR)

I had to glue the ones on my WP Fiesta. Everytime I went about 80km/h they'd rattle, so they oviestly come off pretty easily, but are easy to fix too.

Thank you for your info MotherNature. I assume the part from FordPartsUK is exactly the same thing? Sounds like a good deal even though I have not found out the shipping cost yet.

Wondering how many people got the same problem ... and if Ford is aware of this.

+1. My left one blew off on the highway. Right one sounds loose, well out of warranty too.

yeah same here guys, mine's somewhere on Main North Road in Adelaide! It did fall off at 2am though, hence why I didn't go back to get it.

That's a good price, especially now with the good exchange rate, but I might still go to a wreckers and find one myself! lol

I have tried wreckers to no avail :( Seems that if they have the part there they will not separate it from the door!!!

I've lost the same part on my wp. If you end up getting it from the uk, maybe we can combine postage. I'm in sydney by the way.

cheers

How many would we need??
Once we see how many I am more than happy to add them to my order.

At this stage I have a few things I need from them so cant see a problem getting them to add a few more things to it.

Lets start a list (Copy & Paste to add your wants & needs)

1. MotherNature -
2.

that's annoying! We've got a mob called U-Pull-it here in Adelaide, where you can just go in with some tools and take whatever you like off! I'll try them first, but if no luck I'll join in with you guys!

I just called the local Ford dealer here in Dubbo. Will NOT be getting this part from them. They have quoted me $176.33 for the mould on its own!!!!!

I have received a quote from UKParts for the mould, fog lamps & switch & mud flaps that totalled including postage a tad over $400. Included 55pounds for freight (Insured at that)

Out of interest I got the local guys to quote on the same things......... $815.53!!!!!!!!

Know where Im getting my parts from !!!!!!!!!!

Will be ordering soon so if anyone wants to share in the postage let me know within a fortnight ;)

Im just north of Dubbo NSW, will add yours to the list. When we know how much & what we are ordering I will get a quote from them & work it out if we split the postage + parts.

I can send them off once received to everyone at cost then.

Unless someone else wants to organise it & I will add my order to that

Haha, this is crazy! Our WP 3 door has the same loose trim.
They buzz badly when we drive on the highway.
I've already glued one but it's now loose again...
I'll have to try again.
Good luck with the group buy.

mine started falling off after it was taken off to put on a window tint on drivers side.
i looked around the net and stumbled across a carbon fiber looking one kinda useless seeings though it wouldnt really save much weight...
anyway, i pulled mine completely off, got a hot glue gun, reglued the clips and slapped it back on....been good ever since.

*edit*
maybe it was just the vinyl i saw...
