Default XR5 head unit into LX Focus

I'm wanting to upgrade the head unit in my LT Focus LX from the standard one as shown below:

to the Sony head unit from an XR5 Focus

Firstly, is this easily doable? Secondly, the head unit seems to be easily available but I can't find the fascia/head unit surround with the curved shape cutout that the XR5 stereo needs anywhere. Anyone have any ideas on where I could get one?

First question: I can't see why not. But there's a few guys here who have done this sort of thing, so I'll let them answer.

Second question: I think this is what you're looking for. If it isn't, you can probably find the right one by looking around the site.

I think LT XR5 Focus has a square head unit, same shape as your current one, the elliptical stereo is from LV.
