Need a Pallet / Half Pallet in Sydney asap

Hey Guys

I need a pallet / half pallet urgently in Sydney (West Ryde)

Does anyone how I could get one to West Ryde

I am in Melbourne so getting one from here to Sydney is difficult

Any assistance or guidance will be greatly appreciated

Also, how do we strap it down for transport securely?

I will be using TNT transport to transport it to Melbourne

A lot of businesses throw their pallets out (unless its a CHEP or similiar)... just do the rounds of any industrial area and see if there any thrown in bins or sitting around the place and ask to grab one.

George forgot to mention, that the reason we need a pallet is because we will be using it to ship his engine. So just after any suggestions on the best way to secure it etc, as well as finding a suitable pallet in the first place.

Make up some long brackets so you can attach the engine mounts to them. Bolt the brackets to the pallet (use large feet to spread load). Make two more brackets for the front and rear and bolt it to crank and water pump if fitted. Stick a tyre under sump!

Make sure any bolts you use go in "upsidedown". i.e: bolt heads underneath so that forklift tynes dont catch on them

Wrap in shrink wrap... and make sure oil is drained.

mate if i wasnt so far away from ryde id do it, working for a transport company we have oodles of them lying around, but i work in bankstown which is a bit far to go without a reason as a truck mechanic haha

If you have a mate that works in the market or supermarket, should be easy to take a pallet. Woolworths have so much, dont keep a clear record of them anyway

a lot of company's won't care if you take a chep pallet, just ask them... most of the stuff at my work never gets looked over :P

Should be able to get one or 2 ... in laws have a few laying around.
As I courier I come across a few when I have to hand unload a job and get left a pallet.

my other job is in Macquarie Park as well.
If you need I'll see if i can grab one and drop it off.
Where in Ryde do you need it?

Michael found one right outside his place a few days back. A perfectly good half pallet - perfect for the Clevo

That's a win ... some days when you need one .... you can't get one ... ansd when you never need one ... I end up with a few and have to try and offload them.
