Default Front parking sensors

Hey has anybody got front parking sensors? How good are they at picking up small objects like a short pole that's shorter than the front of the car , and how much warning do they give?

I've got them on the BMW. They are activated by a switch on the dash, as well as when the car is in Reverse.

The BMW ones are much like (even in sound) the Falcon/Territory ones, and work in much the same way. Mine has no trouble picking up a tree, it can pick up parking signs (or the poles), and will work, with a delay, with people or animals moving around the front of the car. We use the front ones primarily for parking in the garage, as when it becomes a continuous beep, the car is in far enough to put the door down. The BMW is taller than a Falcon, and the sensors are higher up, but I think mine would see our mail box, which is three foot high, however your mileage may vary.

The only problem is, the nitwit who installed my Tow Bar didn't add another loom, so every time I select reverse with a trailer attached, the sensors are on (and damn loud). I have to manually turn them off, which I didn't have to do in the Territory.
