VW has a premium brand image here in Australia, funny because in America it doesn't fare as well in the general consensus over there.

Remember we're talking all about perceptions here, Holden is Australian, Ford is American, etc blah blah.

People don't buy with their brains, when they do they regret their purchases, its all about heart.

The WT Fiesta is horrible for interior quality compared to the German WS, I thought the whole idea of "One Ford" was to keep the cars the same no matter where they are made?

South African Focus do you mean, or Thai built Fiesta?

Fiesta sales increased when they switched production to Thailand, because they could finally get full supplies they needed, not just whatever leftovers the Germans could spare.
