Could be a fan issue. Are they both coming on with the A/C on?

Could be as the others have said, the thermo fans, or another likely cause is a partially blocked radiator. The extra load placed on it by the air cond condenser causes it to not lose enough heat and the car overheats. It could need a clean out.

Is a brand new radiator fans are working but havnt really checked them when the a\c is on I have also thought that there might be a small block in the system somewhere so that my next step a complete system flush. Will hopefully have some pics by the end of the weekend.

What is the colour of the coolant? I bought my V8 ute and it was fine then started to leak because the coolant was so dirty.... went and had it flushed and the bloke told me to come back in two months for another flush because it was so bad. One of the worst he had seen and for the age of the car shocking. My car doesn't overheat but ad idle gets towards the top of the temp gauge and the ac turns on and off.

Personally I'd be looking at some sort of electrical problem with the fan relays that might be causing only one to turn on with the A/C on, or even not turn them on at all.

That or water pump issue, being less effective with more load on the belt (highly doubt it).

well after playing with it all morning and flushing the system about 10 times and using a flush a couple of times still nothing. the fans are working properly with the a\c on and off. i think that there must be a small block somewhere and only when the a\c is on it is affecting it cause of the extra load. or maybe the water pump isnt working properly but that is a bit weird cause i checked the belt tension and condition and it is all new and at new tension I guess I will have to take it to someone and get them to fix it. thanks for your help guys.
