105K's will drop from 3500 RPM to 2870RPM I practice fitted the centre console tonight and the mount brackets move back 25mm to line up, so the console moves the same, cant really tell the difference when compared to the ashtray/switch console

I've got the T9Ford box from the Sierra etc. With factory gearstick it hit the handbrake - but putting a shorter shift in it solved that problem.
Originally I had the console moved back about an inch and there was a noticeable gap between the top of the console and the ashtray cluster. When I put it back together (car was restored) I got it to sit in the normal spot and it all looks 'factory'. Speedo Drive or Cable ?? You'll find the Speedo cable from a Cortina suits as they are a bit longer. You can get most of the stuff you need from Burtons in the UK |

G'day mate, currently doing this myself, and wondering the same questions. Also, did you have to put spaces between the gearbox crossmember and the mounting points? if so how much? also, how much did you have to cut the gear leaver hole back? any pics would be sweet

Found this online- it's for a conversion from Auto to T9, but may help you:
http://www.rsmotorsport.com.au/techn...Type9toMk2.pdf Then there's this: http://homepages.mcs.vuw.ac.nz/~kris.../gearbox.shtml I'm still trying to get around to fitting my T9 to my Mk2. The bloke who sold me the T9 told me he had it in his hill climber for a while, which tells me there's likely to be problems! Let us know how you go, whack a few pics up on the forum for us all to see. |
