I have found a very cheap reconditioned EL hybrid cylinder head - but I have a couple of questions.
What exactly is this head? I have searched, but can't find much information. Is it an AU head? Or is it an EL head with AU rocker gear? The head has the conical valve springs, does this mean it also uses AU valves? The rocker ratio should be 2:1, not 1.8:1, correct? Meaning that an AU camshaft would need to be used? What about water jackets and oil galleries? Are they of the AU design, and thus less prone to head gasket failure? And more suited to the AU headgasket? Or is that not relevant? Is the camshaft sprocket the same as EA-EL? Ie, diameter, not number of teeth, Any info is greatly appreciated. |

As far as I know its just an AU head. It does have au 1.8:1 rockers, not the 2:1 like e-series so they need au cam shafts.
