Default Putting drivers door back together!

Hey guys, I've decided to ditch the electric window since I have now got 3 regulators that don't work.. I've picked up a manual winder regulator and door card, new glass and rubbers.. and I really don't know where to go from here!! I'm no good with doors- I probably should have been paying more attention when pulling them apart.

Not sure if this helps, but here's the locations for the electric and manual toggles.

Cheers dude looks like it might help. I just don't know how to attach the regulator to the window again lol. I picked up a new window that still has the clips attached as my old ones were buggered

When you say clips are still attached, do you mean the ones in the picture below?

If so, you'll have to use two flat head screw drivers and pry them off, slide the window out altogether (by tilting the window on an angle to pull it out), glue the clips back on to the window by using Sikaflex 230, do not use standard siliconne as you'll just have to do it again as it won't bond to the glass.

How thoroughly have you checked the whole mechanism? Electrics included.

More information may reveal that youre simply missing something.

Lol, probably just the switches have gotten clogged up with crap over the years. I had no working switches in the Fairlane, cleaned them out and now they work.

When I pulled the window out of mine the clips basically fell off - seems like they had been dodgily stuck on a few times given the amount of **** on them.. I had no problems pulling windows out at the wreckers yesterday with the plastic clips still on.

Yeah didn't check the whole lot too thoroughly.. there was one i could hear trying to work when i had the door apart, but the window wasn't going anywhere.. so can't be the switches (i think lol). Now I spent 3 hours at the wreckers yesterday finding an au with manual winders in the front - I'm not changing my mind again! :p

Cheers guys
