Default After Some Really Good Performance Sparks & Leads

hey guys/gals

had these Bosch leads and NGK sparks for awhile, there getting old, n now its the sparks are causing me to misfire wen i rev it...anyways

im after some performance spark plugs, regardless of price, need to no the name of it, and same for leads....

now i heard for leads, the best for my i6 and my current power, to only get 8.8mm or 9mm leads as 10mm leads are to much and id loose power being i dont have a V8...

im guessing Top Gun 9mm leads possibly?

im after spark's mainly first, regardless of price, just performance, i dont want to buy the same ol leads n sparks for my car again, i wanna go more pricey/quality ones...

thanks!

haha dont listen to cruzin. grab yourself either the autolite plugs from JMM or ngk iridium. as for leads dont get anything you can buy at supercheap. queensland ignition or queensland leads [i cant remember the exact name] do supremely good gear.

I know of 3 people on this forum that had crossfiring issues with top gun, one of them being myself. I recommend a set of 8-9mm ICE leads...

ice=recomended by gas joints for gas, means they should be good on petrol as gas requires just that little more

It would all depend on what setup u got.....just dont bother with platnium plugs, they last ages, but unless u spend a load on them, they dont prduce as much power as some normal plugs. with the leads, try gettin a set of original e serries XR6 leads, they were slightly diff from the normal leads from new. not many parts guys know that tho, and i cant remember what the part number is from new

The only reason to not get bigger the 8mm leads even is that unless you are making big horsepower and running biggger gap and higher energy spark, its a wast of money, otherwise you can run 10mm leads in any car and it just wasting money for no possible gain.

Got a price from ICE for a set of leads- $103.96 plus postage. Might give them a go as sick of problems with gas backfiring every now and then and rough idle. Will let you know how they go if your interested

I'm running Top Gun 10mm leads......no problems at all......But for you i would recommend a set of Champion spiral core leads.....they work as good as any i've found. I know of cars over 600HP running the spiral core's and they're not very expensive either. And for plugs ....i would just run some ZGR6B11 NGK's.

If you want black leads get the top gun gas max 8mm, just as good spark, better heat resistance, tougher and cheaper to. If you want pretty colours then go the 8.8mm leads

You can also get Prospark leads in 9mm. Made in SA and good quality. Not too pricey either.

that plug is a gas/tickford plug....it is colder than standard. Standard plugs are 5 heat range....the higher the number, the colder the plug....the plugs i'm recommending are 6 heat range. I run em in my turbo, Neb is running in his EB, Gunns is running in his SVO. .....PS.....why r u ringing bursons for?

Might look at changing to that part number plug as well if its better for running LPG.

Fitted new leads after work tonight- like chalk and cheese the difference. Idle now settled not sounding like its set 3 to 400 rpm to low. Feels like a 4litre to drive now not a 2. Highly recommend them to anyone running a 4lt on LPG esp
