Default may be selling soon

Hey guys,
I've wanted a porsche 928 for so long, Ive finally considered doing something about it.
May not sell the ED yet,but because of my passion for the porsche Ive unfortunately lost the passion for the falcon,so I wont be doing anymore mods!(which is a shame because a vortech supercharger was next on the list along with a stroker kit)
i'll prolly still visit the forums for awhile (my falcons motor has been built by the suggestions of alot of people on here!)but alot of the interest is just ..well..gone...
Hey,It happens....

928S... they're a blown front engine (V8) RWD Porsche, from the 80s, right? I don't see any problem with this change of vehicle!!!

Good luck selling the car mate, and I'm sure your windsor block is sighing in relief from not having a stroker bottom end and blower to contend with.

Not blown, just a V8.
Make sure you have as much as you paid for the car in reserve for the future purchase of parts....

928 stands for V8 (coz I think 924 meant a 4 banger)

So is the "S" just like a Falcon S or something?

Damn, I was picturing a blown porsche V8 :

This is true. You wouldn't want to blow a headgasket or something :

Yep! you are correct.
The big porsche 928 was built from 1978 to 1995 without many changes.(the biggest change being engine upgrades)
The first 928 had a 16v 4.5L v8.The"S" model..yeah is just one of the frst upgrades and the model ill be looking at(4.7L)
Lucky to be living in australia because these cars are mostly all "euro spec" with the 300hp motor(americans getting a detuned 225hp version)
I'll be looking at a 1982-1984 "S" model thatll set me back anywhere from 18-30k.The biggest problem (mentioned by someone here)is the maintenance costs...the timing chain being over 2 grand.
I'll be keeping 6k on hand for any of these problems.
my friend had a 1987 "s4" with the 32v dualcam motor and being in it many a time...they are...like nothing else!
pop the hood and what a peice of engineering!
Ill always miss the rawness of the big falcon though...but...its still here for the moment!

My mate that lives in London has one for sale, its a 928 but not sure if its an 's' though. Its been sitting at his friends house in phillip island for about a year (the slack bastard was meant to sell it for him).

He would probably sell it cheap as because its just sitting there doing nothing and going by the cars he sold the day before he left (2002 Monaro GTO - 36k and 96 Jaguar - 17k ing_sm ) no doubt this would be cheap too.

Can't remember to much about it was that champagne/silver colour, auto, sunroof, electrics etc. He also put some kind of porsche 17" (255 rubber i think) wheels on it that looked nice. From what i remember the engine was in good order but a few interior electrics weren't working and there may have been a bit of rust in some spots.
