In an effort to get my car RWC, I had to replace the middle muffler. The system in question is a stock manifold with 2.5" system fitted. It had a Super Turbo muffler (not a just a name, it's a type of muffler, 1 with the "s" bends in it) fitted (looks like a dynomax one) and a smaller muffler right at the rear.
We (zorst shop) replaced the middle muff with a Redback, off-set straight thru one instead of another super turbo design. Goes a bit better, enuff to notice.. But she's still quiet as a mouse! I want to get the 4499 Pacey's soon, no point in the 4480's on this motor, and see how it sounds then. But I guess my question is to anyone with a nice sounding EA CFi, or even an MPI, EB ED too what system's have you got, that do work, and sound tuff too? |

i rekon my exhaust sounds tuff, i got advance extractors, magnaflo hi flow cat and lukey 2.5" cat back with a lukey sport muffler, it gets sick backpressure crackles, strokes sound distinct when u nail it and it doest drone that bad (thats what a sound system is for)

Cool, how are the 'Advance' headers?
Just 1 muffler in the middle right, pure pipework till end? I think that's the plan for me after Extractors and cat.. |

yeh just one muffler, yeh the extractors hold up pipes are pipes i spose, but im gonna fit pacemakers in there when i have the money and once everything else is fixed that needs to be just coz my extractors are looking daggy and i want to tidy up the engine bay.

i had pacemaker extractors, high flow cat and 2 1/2 inch redback exhaust no resonator on my CFI and the ИИИИ was LOUD and sounded tuff as!

Yup, smell's good to me. What else did you do to the car? Did you ever get it dyno'd, or tuned after the exhaust mods??
I'll get some 4499 headers as soon as I've got the thing RWC. |
