Default resonator!

hey guys, just wondering how tot ake the resonator out of my exhaust so it sounds better??

I guess just take it down to your local Exhaust Workshop, you'll get heaps of drone without it tho mate!

I'm thinking of doing this after I get some headers fitted. I reckon it would have to sound very slightly different with the headers.. I've already got 2.5" system, and replaced the mid muffler for RWC with a Redback straight thru offset one, but she's still quiet as a mouse!

One of my mates sawed a piece of an exhaust off at the wreckers cut his resonator out and welded the piece in dont think its to legal but hey it worked sounds good!!

Dan,

You contradicted yourself. If ya remove the resinator it will sound like a Commodore, not better. If you want it to sound better get a full system.

Prolly tru aye... that raspy, tinny sound.. 3.0L RB30 Nissan in a VL , or the first gen 3.8's in a VN. I think we're after a warm burble, and slightly bassy note, without max drone.

I may even consider removing my new redback offset straight thru for some glass pack muffler, if I get that undesirable result when I remove mine.. See what happens, the redback might not be bad at all.
