Used to love "The Saint" and his Volvo.
He also did quite a good job in Ivanhoe and Maverick, and probably others. RIP Mr Templar. |

Yep he did a whole heap of acting going back years, I can still remember as a kid waiting for the latest episode of The Saint to come on, then there was The Persuaders, another great show, both of those before Bond, James Bond....
RIP Rog..... https://www.theguardian.com/film/vid...bond-the-saint https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fvuuAUJ2x6I (time for a re-run of the old Bond movies me thinks, think i'll start tonight ) |

when i was a kid and i saw that lotus driving underwater , i thought ,wow, how cool was that. i,m bond fan, and it seems to me that the villains of today are boring compared to the old days, remember that massive submersible vessel and the elevators that had tubes going to shark tanks. maybe something mr trump might like.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yeBqf6bYZak and all those hot sheilas he shagged. what a legend. r.i.p |

I'm a Bond fan, but not particularly of Moore's portrayal of Bond. Still, Moore was the consummate gentleman, and an all-round nice guy, who in later years worked tirelessly for the benefit of others.
Rest in peace, Sir Roger Moore.
