My daughter wears "Baby Bonds" label clothes. Does that make her a chump too?

I don't know what Baby Bonds is, but if it's an overpriced label it makes you a chump for buying it. All of my mates walk around in their Dickies and Levis talking on their top-of-the-line cellphones, wear Oaklies sunnies and eat out every single day and then wonder why I have so much money to spend on my car. It boggles the mind.
You can feel free to spend $140 on a pair of jeans, and I'll just go out an spend $30 on a pair that looks identical. Sure, it may not have a tag that says Levis (which is covered by a T-shirt anyway) but I am the one who is $110 richer at the end of the day.

I don't spend money on designer labels. I happen to like a jacket in that range. I buy clothes for myself once every 2 years or more. I have an adidas jumper that I bought about 10 years ago that's still kicking. Usually I wear cheap-*** clothes or rip off's. If someone wants to spend $140 on a pair of Jeans, good luck to them. For you to assume that because I'm looking for a particular label means that I'm one that spends huge $$$'s on clothing is insulting because you have no idea how wrong you are! And anyway, what is it your business what I wear? You didn't have to reply to this thread. There are some of us that do like to have the occassional 'label' piece in their wardrobe. Sorry, but not all of us live to pump money into their cars!

Understandable, as I too do not buy designer label clothes, however IF AU Fairmont -S- chooses to, for whatever reason, I hardly see that as making her or anyone else a "chump".
Its all about personal choice, I see no reason why anyone else should worry about her purchases.
As for where to find it, I believe it may be part of the adidas range now so you may want to try and talk to whoever sells adidas.

If it is part of the Adidas range, you could always try the Adidas Factory outlet in Smith St, Collingwood. You'll get them cheaper in there. _2:

I hardly think Baby Bonds is going to make your baby a chump. LOL! :

Speaking of labels, if I recall there was a thread like this a while ago on the other forum regarding sunglasses and labels. If people want to buy them, how is it hurting you Mike Gayner?

Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to go and put on my hand me down (just because they didn't fit the person who bought them), red tab Levi 501's, my NHL Toronto Maple Leaf hockey jersey (a whopping $1- in price.), my New Balance runners that I paid just over $100- for FOUR years ago (works out to $25- a year), put my Oakley sunnies on (that I bought from my sister and paid her half of what she paid for them), throw my Rip Curl ski jacket on (that I bought in Baines seconds surfwear shop for a third of the price that they retail at 7 years ago). I better not forget my NEW Sony Ericsson phone that I paid a whopping $100- for, brand new without a plan and with a free Official Ferrari Licensed Merchandise cap, (try buying one of those at the Grand Prix and see how much you pay for it!), $30 credit for my phone and a new bag and go and play with my newly aquired MkI FORD ESCORT.

Hrmm anyone else see a recurring theme in there? :nutsycuck

I just popped over to the Australian Adidas website, and theres a link to Missy E's line down the bottom. You can browse the range there... then pop over to the original page, and goto the store locator, punch in Melbourne and a list will come up with stockists, whether they stock the Missy E stuff is only a phone call away.

So am i a brand junkie for buying original FORD wheels for my ford?

We should probably stop the flaming here, or the thread'll be shut down

Sounds to me like you're just a smart shopper :

Yeah I read the thread on the sunnies on .com a while ago, but chose not to post in it. My sunnies were $8 from The Warehouse Although I certainly respect peoples reasons for buying expensive sunnies when it comes to UV protection. If I wasn't so cheap I would actually look for some decent UV protected sunnies.

That was exactly what I was getting at. FORD is a label just like Holden. Although we all know that FORDS are the superior brand. :

sunnies are the only things i spend money on lol

i used to just buy the el cheapo ones from the srvice stations but cause they were so cheap i never respected them and they always broke :(

so now i buy brands like emporio armani and ralph loren. not cause of the names but cause i like their style more than say rayban or stuff like that, my last pair has lasted quite a while now too :P

as for clothing...lets just say that my sunnies could afford an entire outfit lol
i only buy stuff that catches my eye or is comfortable, cause whats the use if ya aint comfy aye ;)

they only stuff i cant stand people buying is them DADA, Ruff Ryders etc etc puffy baggy *** clothes that would fit a sumo, but a guy the size of my left leg goes and wears tehm so his pants hang half way down his butt lol

Well heaven forbid anyone has a different outlook on life than you Mike.

I buy Levis, for the reason they last a hell of a lot longer than cheap shitty $30 jeans.

In my case I was handed a pair of Levi's because the chick that bought them had more money than sense and didn't try them on.

However I've had those 501's since 1998 and they are still perfect and as comfortable as the day I got them. I would have no hesitation about spending whatever they cost to get another pair.

Like the old saying goes, "You get what you pay for."

If you get your car fixed/serviced by some backyarder (a friend of a friend of a friend) to save a few dollars, do you honestly think he's going to be as thorough and as honest as a licensed dealership's mechanic or other licensed mechanic? _

The Levi's I've had have been a way better fit than my normal Just Jeans ones but I'm not too overly fussed on brands.

I don't think walking round like a billboard is that high on my list. If the stuff is comfortable or good quality then I'm open to whatever is on the tag - name brand or otherwise.
